Trekking in Langtang – less trodden trail to Nepal best kept secret valley
Langtang region is another popular trekking destination in Nepal, considered by many trekkers to be one of Nepal’s best-kept secrets. It is easily accessible without flight, just north of Kathmandu with soaring peaks on either side of the valley. Trekking in Langtang valley unfolds the colorful culture, religion, and traditions of Tibetan origin ethnic groups on the back dropped of stunning mountain sceneries. Changes in elevation combined with the complex topography and geology have produced a unique patchwork of vegetation in this region.

This relatively less trekked Langtang teahouse trekking route heads through a varied landscape ranging from evergreen forests, cascading waterfalls and turbulent streams to sub-alpine grasslands. Further closer to the peak profile of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Lenpo Gang (7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m). The legendary Himalayan explorer and mountaineer Bill Tillman said of Langtang that it was ‘One of the world’s most beautiful valleys’.
